The name of this blog comes from a character of mine in my friends In Nomine game. He is a Mercurian of Creation by the name of Hebron. In his past, he had a run in with pride after successfully defeating 3 demons in combat with only marginal loss of forces. He was punished for allowing himself to commit such a sin at the cost of human lives and the life of his best friend. And so, for the past 200 years, he had been roaming the world, trying to find his place in it and to atone for his past crimes.
Here, I shall endeavour to remember those events in my life that have given me new insight or cause me to doubt my very self and abilities.
And Friday of this week, I most definately doubted myself. And with good cause.
I don't like people, thats a given. As far as virtues go, my temperance is low, my valour is barely existant, and my compassion scrapes the bottom of the barrel. But what I, heh, pride myself on is my conviction. My self honour. I hold Honesty and Loyalty very close to my heart; Truth and honour are very important to me. But on Friday I was a little drunk and I'd also misheard and misinterpreted what a friend had said about someone else. And then, later that evening, I held one virtue to be higher than the other.
You can imagine the fallout that promptly followed.
I have tarnished my reputation and although I recieved forgiveness from one and abuse from the other, I'm sure neither will ever see me the same again.
If someone tells me a secret, I keep it. They have told me in strict confidence something personal that they don't want getting out. Why they told me in the first place is beyond me, but they did.
My problem stems from a comment made sort of in passing. It wasn't a secret, nor was it something that other ears should have heard. My mistake.
So, now I pledge to never parrot what another has said around me. Ever. If someone tells me "This is a secret. You are not to speak of this to anyone.", then I shall not. There will be no hints to anyone. I will lie and say I wasn't there or something.
Now, if someone makes a comment and doesn't addend it with "Its a secret" or something to that effect, I won't forcefully bring up the matter with the person in question. If they ask me about it, the most I'm ever going to say is "So and so has a problem with you. You should talk to them about it.", but even then its teetering on the edge of betraying the trust in a side-ways comment at 10pm at night.
I'd like to think that if someone has a problem with me, they come to me with it directly. Not through chinese-whispers, nor through other people. If someone comes up to me as says "Blah thinks you're being a retard and should stop.", I'll politely tell them to fuck off and tell their informant to come to me with problems in the future. I don't like dealing with secondary characters, especially when they have nothing to do with it.
Again, it comes back to my indiscretion. I was used first, but instead of holding to my ideals, I gave in and fucked up big time. I don't think I'll be doing that again. Its not my place to act as a fucking relay station. You want to know something? Ask the source. Just because I witnessed the broadcast doesn't mean I recorded it.
Nor does it mean that what I do remember isn't corrupted beyond the actual truth.
You tell me something, the buck stops there. I will not tell anyone exactly what you said. At best, you'll get a referral. I'm going to remain loyal to my friends and honest with myself. Try someone else.

Loot! LOOOT!
Yay for Loot! :D
I just came back from a wee weekend stint in Melbourne. The weather was crap - it felt like Dunedin - but the shopping was swift and easy. I had oysters again. Now I know how to eat them if they have stuff on them, so thats all good. Loot it good. Got my mates some stuff, or at least the ones that I asked if they wanted anything :P
Anyways, I shall now reveal my loot. Of which I paid nothing for. Ayup. My parents are the best a guy could ask for. :D

You can't see it very well, but the jumper is burgundy. Its rather nice. Yay for clothes. Now I wont have to run the risk of being buck-nekkid next time I wanna go out :P

Yes, I have an iPod now. 20 Gig. I love it. I'm just going to be so over-protective of it its not funny. The ol' CD player is getting the backseat atm. I'll prolly take it with me when I go out on the boat due to the long life of batteries and all that horrid water. Anyways.
Following are two shirts I purchased at the markets. They're great and go well with my T-Shirt Hell collection :P

Neat eh? I love my parents. :)

Guess what?
I'm getting the TV after all. Psyche.
Neither one downstairs (mine or the sisters) works with it: it only has the aerial plug.
Go new TV :D

My parents... are NUTS!
But I love them.
Heres an excerpt from my msn convo with steph:
So yeah, in closing: I love my parents. I know where I get my nutcaseness from. :)
I hate my camera. Damn technology.
Heres an excerpt from my msn convo with steph:
Lofwyr says:I know I mentioned something about taking a photo of Alex's gift, but the damn photo wont release the goodness! So I shall have to wait a bit until I figure out how (read: find the damn disc)
Today, at about 3pm, I havent gone to uni and I'm home when the parents arrive, rudely interrupting my fighting of crime. Anyway, I hear my Dad say "We brought you a present." Okay. Not unusual, they usually bring back nifty things or shirts back from where they've been. So, I go up stairs and I immediately see two plastic bags. My Dad then says "We got one for Waiheke, and another one for you."
Stephanie says:
and . . . . . .
Lofwyr says:
Right, so these bags arent bags at all on closer inspection. Someone has taken their largest bag, sliced in half perfectly, then cellotaped the two bits of plastic around the box, giving them two plasticy type handles, while the box sticks out a good 10 cm from the old bottom of the bag. Whats in the box? A DVD player. For my room.
Stephanie says:
WOOT.
Lofwyr says:
Funny thing is, I say "You know, this prolly wont work with my TV, seeing as its so old and everything." What does Dad say? "Oh, no worries, we'll buy you another tv if this doesnt work with the one you have already."
Lofwyr says:
:o
Lofwyr says:
My parents... are teh nuts
Lofwyr says:
I never get this treatment for my birthday or Christmas
Stephanie says:
But in a GOOD GOOD way
Lofwyr says:
Just randomly.
Lofwyr says:
Oh, I'm not saying my parents suck or anything. On the contrary, they're nuts, but they're MINE!
So yeah, in closing: I love my parents. I know where I get my nutcaseness from. :)

And now... it all comes together...
After a horrible shit of a week with the threat of several more to come, today is hopefully going to be one of the better days. Its Alex's birthday and Kellys birthday party. Of all things, its a pajama party... whats worse is than we cant turn up and get changed. Oh no. I gotta ride the freakin bus with them on. Good thing I have baggy clothes than can go over them. Sneaky sneaky.
I have also completed Alex's present. I shall provide another update specifying its goodness. Bwahahah.
And Kelly shall finally get her trinket from moi.
But for now... time to fight crime.
NINJA VANISH!

Of Jubblies and KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!
Okay, catch up time:
Friday: The Day of Jubblies.
My friends decided to go to the White House. The Strip Club. Which I've never been to before.
And I have to say I had a good time, until the music got crap and then boredom set in. And then there was the Stag night guy. Ugh. Anyway, they played good music. Techno versions, sure, but good nonetheless. Also there was poledancing. OMG! Those girls could crush me with their barehands. Walking up and down the stage on their hands (Full handstands, people) and then going around a pole 3m up in the air at breakneck speeds and catching themselves before they hit the ground when they spiral down. Like... wow! And I got my face stuck between Cleopatra's thighs and she bounced my head around for about a minute. I couldn't see a thing, as well as when my face was smushed into her chest. =shrug= I'm surprised I didn't get thrown out for being so "fresh" :P
Anyway, that was fun. Mmm... smooth...
Saturday: The Day of KHHAAAAAAAAAAN!!!
Alex and his troupe (which includes me it seems) decided to try and watch Star Trek 1-6 in one night. Didn't happen. We made it to 4 before we decided "Its 4 in the morning. Home time." Steph turned up as well, mostly for Liz's benefit methinks. I don't think she likes being the only girl with us geeks. As Osama says on joecartoons Osama Box: "I frrighten you, don't I?" ;)
I loved 2 and 4. My favourites for Kirk so far.
Exerpt from the Book of Kirk:
Chapter 11
13: And Yea, For He did lift the Communicator to His lips, and He cried:
14: "KHHAAAAAAAAAAAN!!"
:P Kirk 11:14. Learn it.
Sunday: The Day of Nothing.
Promises. Fragile. Utterly fucking pointless.
Next time, I'm asking for their word or a pound of flesh and blood. (Ha! Not catching me out on that one!)
Ninja Out.

Driving Lessons From the GREATEST WIZARD OF ALL TIME!
Its true. I got Driving lessons from Merlin himself.
He's gotten kind of old and so on, but thats to be expected.
Anyway, I spent an hour getting aquainted with his car. Hoo boy.
If I got anything from my 1 hour, it is this simple fact: I'm going to kill someone.
He told me all the things I knew were wrong with my technique: the shifting of gears, turning corners while in a gear higher than 2nd, bad wheel hand movements, you know. The shit you feel is wrong.
Then he informed me of all the bad things I didn't realise, like sticking too close to the centre line on the road.
Wow, I'm going to kill someone. Possibly me, especially if I hit that bus =shudder=
Still, there are all good things. He said I knew what to do, just was inconsistent in my gear switching or I'd forget to do something basic once or twice, like slow more :P
And I own at roundabouts :D

Egg vs Egg. Who will win?
It is an age old tradition for me now to test the strength of todays chocolate eggs using mine.
My head that is ya mook.
Simple really. Take egg in one hand, then headbutt it.
I had two eggs this easter. The first one cracked and left a hole as usual. One to me.
The next... well, it withstood my assault. I nutted it and I heard a faint click and that was it. I opened it up to see that there was a single hairline crack. A little pressure opened it up to reveal two perfect halves. Yayness.
But yeah, one to the egg.
This makes the score interesting:
Egg: 2
Me: 1249
Ninja out.

Zombies!
| Armed and Dangerous Congratulations! You scored 86%! |
You made it out, alive and well supplied. You probably even kept most of your party alive too. You know what to look for, what to take, and when to just run. You even feel a strange inkling to go back. If you did, you'd probably do just fine. |

Odd Conversations
Today I actually managed a conversation with my parents. I was kinda forced into it as they wanted to talk to me, but it then progressed into a proper randomised conversation. Odd. It was mostly about genetics and whats going to go wrong with me possibly in the future.
Diabetes. MS. Heart Attacks. The works.
Anyway, what spurred this conversation topic was my parents going away for a few weeks. And their fear of dying and leaving me to fend for myself. Ugh. I hate these topics.
They tell me what to do, where the "pot of gold" is, everything. Which I'll prolly forget. But yeah. Not the most pleasant of conversation topics. I told them: "I plan to have you guys go once you're in an old folks home."
My Dads reply was, as always: "I'm never going to an old folks home."
"Then I guess you'll have to be immortal, then."
I'd miss my parents terribly, no matter how much I hate them on a specific day. Hate is only temporary. An eternal empty house is terror.

I shall be alone again
Its happening.
=nods=
Once again my parents leave and let me look after the house and the cat.
Reasons? I have university. Or something.
Bleh. Anyway, they've done this to me before. They went away for a whole month. And not only did I survive, but I kept this lil tidbit secret until about 2 days before they got back. It was great.
Sure, I had a girl over one time and she asked where my parents were. I didn't lie, I just used Seraphic evasion.
OWNZORB!
:P
And so it happens again. This time coz me mums turning 50 and she wants to go godknowswhere for it.
And again I don't have to worry about a present... Or maybe I do.
Oh yeah, I still have that lil thing for Kelly. I must remember it since its officially the last thingy I give her.
I need to worry more about myself than other people. I havent been doing that enough.
Oh, and if one of my friends manages to read this, there will be no such party happening at my place. Not unless I'm sure of who exactly is coming. Otherwise my alarms going to be on and Matrix is rather good ;)
Oooh, and I have a new email address. Its gmail. And the username is SeraphicNinja. :D

And tis done.
I've finished Kotor 2.
I was a light sider. Female Guardian/Weapon Master. (15/10 if you must know)
And I have to say... the ending cutscene didnt exist. The ending was really the final conversation. And although there was no triumphant ending, it was very Jedi. You saved the galaxy and all the planets you visit prosper... but the Old Jedi are no more, with the new Jedi taking their place. And you leave, probably for good.
To save the galaxy for the sacrifice of ones self. Nice touch.
I found it sucky you couldn't redeem the final bosses. I mean, isnt the point that no one is beyond saving? Like Malak in the first one. He should have been save-able. Anyway...
All thats left now is to start again and destroy whats left of the Republic.
Oh, and before I go. To any of those who say the darkside is more powerful than the light: You got less than 6 seconds to kill me. Otherwise...
Force Immunity
Force Enlightenment
Master Power Attack with two totally decked out lightsabers
Bye bye.

Stuff.
Well, Kotor 2 should be out soon. Like tomorrow. And I will enjoy what they have done to the evilness of the force. They say its less extreme-y and more involved. Meaning instead of being SHINEY PARAGON! or Evil bloodthirsty savage, you can be a nice guy, a selfless man, or a total cunt, etc.
"No, I killed your kid coz I knew how you felt about him. Just so your husband would finally leave you when you started breaking down."
bwahahaha
Anyway.
I've downloaded 80's music. Yep. I got myself Shareaza and fixed my firewall to accept files from this program and weeee! Music I've only ever heard at 21sts :P Its mine now! MINE!
And when I get my burner back up and running, I'll have my Current Best of and my 80s Cds :D
Life is so much better when you have great music.
Now if I was getting laid, I'd be the happiest I could ever get in my life.
... And now I'm depressed.
So depressed that even Ninja thoughts cant save me. Seppuku time.

Its gone.
My beard and moustache have gone.
For a while, at least. It'll be easy enough to grow again.
Shock horror, you say? Nah. Capricious? certainly not. I don't understand big words like that :P
I've been testing this idea out for months, and decided that I'd turn my meager life around on my birthday and look after myself better.
Yeah, good luck.
I dont think I'll be taking better care of myself properly until after I've been going to the gym for a few weeks.
Yes, thats right. I'm going back to the gym. Uni wasnt a challenge so lets make it harder! :T
I think being a ninja would have been a wise career choice.
And... I'd look cool while doing it.

Birthday dinner
Its just now I realise to change the dates on my posts.
Pfft.
Anyway, I got +2 to add to the number of birthday wishes. Mum and Dad.
I'd add the cat too, but "Mrraaaw" could be either "Happy birthday, Master" or "Feed me, Bitch!"
I got an Eric Idle book... didn't know he wrote...
5 1 hour car lessons... man the parents are really pushing that envelope.
Oh, and a 128MB memory stick. Yay.
With 1 Gig out there, I just cant be thrilled. But hey, its better than nothing.
Anyway, off to get showered for dinner. Catch you suckers later

Whats happened?
This year, I expected something more, something better than what I had.
If your birthday is any indication of what the year has in store for you, my year is going to both suck and be relatively good for my upcoming crimes.
My birthday was smack dab in the middle of a week. A Wednesday. A Hot, Muggy Wednesday. Humid and disgusting. Thank god the lab is relatively dry and cool. I left early because I couldnt get any real work done and I was starting to get depressed.
So far two people.... TWO people have wished me a happy birthday. One I told the day before , the other was an old friend from a long time ago. And she still remembered. Deb, you fucking rock. You make me miss the old friends I made. You are the kind of person I definately live for.
Too bad people can't exactly be more like those who stand above. Like the girl who's supposedly my "best friend". Or so she keeps telling me. And yet, I have heard nothing. I'll be surprised if I get a belated happy birthday at some point. But if she ever says "See, I remembered your birthday" this Sunday... I might just go postal. Or laugh in her face. I havent decided.
My other long time friend hasn't sent me anything. Then again, I dont send him one on his either. I think we have this unspoken agreement to just save it until the party is arranged. We're boozers like that. He gets off the hook :)
Check out my mates blog: http://8thvirtue.blogspot.com
Thats another testament to the human races "graces", shall we say.
Birthdays. 22 years of existance. I expected it to be more exciting, but its like no one really notices my existance except for a few more evolved people.
I should've been a ninja.

Thats another testament to the human races "graces", shall we say.
Birthdays. 22 years of existance. I expected it to be more exciting, but its like no one really notices my existance except for a few more evolved people.
I should've been a ninja.

I have the best Characters in City of Heroes.
Its true, dammit :P
I have a martial artist, a concrete wavefunction, the concrete wavefunctions sister, a giant crab, a lord of the netherworld, and a strange visitor with no name.
I've just spent my last 2 days getting my crab to lvl 20. Hes 19.5 and thats where I'll leave it.
Oh, and Kheldians suck. Hooray for Void Slayers. :)

Dont expect much from here.
I do have a livejournal too, ya know.
Thats my rant book.
Hmm. this could serve for all my proud moments and achievements.
But you know what? I rarely have anything to be proud of.
Perhaps humbling experiences.
I have waaay too many of them.
Tell ya what: If you spend your time waiting to see if I post anything here, I suggest a full frontal lobotomy.
It'll save you the pain.
